Volunteer for our Blossom Fiesta! A physical event held opposite our Blossom Youth Centre!
In celebrating our nation’s 57th birthday and BWS 14th Anniversary, let us rejoice the social harmony and community bonding we share within our society. “Blossom Fiesta” features family bonding and educational booths. It showcases the effort Blossom Youths have initiated. Not forgetting the unwavering support from our donors, sponsors and volunteers who spread warmth and kindness to our beneficiaries despite the challenges posed by covid-19.
Here are some aspects of volunteering opportunities:

Prior to the event, volunteers are required to attend an orientation to understand the roles and responsibilities and of course to meet friends who are volunteering for this event!
Orientation: 20 August 2022 (Saturday) 12.45pm - 2pm on zoom.
Event day: 3 September 2022 (Saturday) 8.30am - 12pm at the hardcourt opp 9 Toh Yi Drive S590009 (BWS office & BYC is nearby))
How you can help:
Volunteer to distribute event flyers to residents around Toh Yi Drive
Date: 20 Aug, Sat- 10am to 12pm/ 2pm to 4pm and 27 Aug, Sat - 2pm to 4pm, 4pm to 6pm)
Photo Booth
Photo booth to showcase Blossom Youth Centre’s (BYC) vibrancy! Take photos with our colourful & creative backgrounds in BYC and take home a souvenir polaroid! (Polaroids cost S$5 a piece. All proceeds will go to BWS.)
Tasks:
Pre-event:
Available slots: 6
Decorate photo booth’s props (need at least four days to work on the props. On your own time with your own recycled items. Can use BYC space if needed)
Event day:

Encourage visitors to use the photo booth!
Know how to use a polaroid! (change film and have good camera angles/just click away!)
Take donation box and collect donations for every polaroid taken
Project Booths
Project Booths cover these BWS projects:
Blossom Home Refresh: Cleaning & painting senior beneficiaries’ homes
Project C.P.R.: Environment clean up along the coastline of Singapore
Project M.E.R.C.Y.: Monthly Engagement in Reaching out to Communities through Youths. Eg. activities & games with seniors, grocery purchase/basic home fixing (lightbulb changing etc) assistance for the beneficiary,
Project O.K.: Distribute goodie bags to low-income families and/or senior beneficiaries

Available slots: 6 per project
Work with the team on how to beat bring across each project through posters and games!
Decorate project booth’s props & games (need at least four days to work on the props. On your own time with your own recycled items. Can use BYC space if needed)
Event day:

Encourage visitors to play the games!
Share what our project does! Recruit them to join us.
Logistics:
Logistics to help with moving items, furniture, AV and more.
