Reunion and Hope
Blossom World Society (BWS) held the Blossom Reunion Charity Gala Lunch for the 5th time on the 12th of January 2020 over at the luxurious Furama Riverfront Hotel. About a total of 500 people attended the event that included guests, beneficiaries from Blossom World, NTUC Health SilverACE (Boon Lay), Bethesda Care Services, Muhammadiyah Welfare Homes, Zheng Hua CC’s low-income seniors & families and Happy People Helping People Community, and Blossom’s youth leaders were cordially invited to participate in this pre-Chinese New Year lunch, sponsored generously by our donors. We were also very honored to have our special guest, Dr Ang Hak Seng, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth to grace our event.
There were a wide variety of game stations that was conducted before lunch itself that allowed all guests, donors as well as beneficiaries to go around and have fun while learning about the different values and moral principles that BWS endorsed. It was a really wonderful experience for them.
Our youth volunteers served as befrienders to our beneficiaries that day during lunch to provide companionship and to bring joy to their day at the event. The interactions and learning that took place from the beneficiaries to our volunteers were evident from witnessing them have lunch together. Our invited guest, Artiste Jack Neo even turned up and performed 2 different songs as means of fund raising.
